Exit 56 Blues Fest celebrates 15 years Memorial Day Weekend
“Fifteen years ago, Exit 56 Blues Fest began as a small one-day affair," reflects Sonia Outlaw-Clark, Delta Heritage Center Director. "Now, it's truly remarkable to see it has flourished into a vibrant two-day celebration, featuring an inspiring Women in Blue showcase and the impressive Corvette Car show. This incredible journey wouldn't have been possible without the support of our dedicated partners and the passionate Blues enthusiasts who return year after year to experience the eclectic mix of performers and styles of the Blues we offer.”
One thing that has held true throughout the 15 years of the event is the annual poster unveiling. This year’s featured artist is Leland Porter, a visual artist and West Tennessee musician known as “Simply Leland.” Porter will unveil his original art and this year’s Exit 56 Blues Fest poster during the Opening Ceremony at noon on Saturday, May 24.
Come hungry and enjoy the food trucks, explore the arts and craft vendors and view the Corvettes, while listening to the undeniable power of the blues found right here at its home in West Tennessee! Each day of activities begins at 10:00 am and the last performance begins at 6:00 pm on Saturday and 4:00 pm on Sunday.
